One of my hero's
OK, where do I start this one? I know with me finding a hero, or someone that just blesses me with their life and friendship. His name is Robert Florio. Now your probably asking, why this guy, and how did I get to know him? Well easy enough. How much time do you have? Now I've tried to write this like 10, times already, and well it just wasn't good enough. Probably still isn't, but this is what your getting. I first came to know of Robert on Facebook. Matter of fact, it was a friends Fan page, Jim Kyle's Asylum Studios. That I first met Robert. Well met is a loss term. Later on I contacted him for a friendship on Facebook, and sorry to say he accepted it, poor guy. Well I remember seeing him post some things, and I was watching him put paintings he was working on up on his wall. And I thought to my self, Self, here's a guy that could have quit, just said no, I don't want to play in this game called life anymore. But he didn't. Oh ya, I forgot to tell you that Robert is a quadriplegic. A young man that suffered a very life changing accident. Now I'm not going to go in to detail about what happened to him, that's not what this is about. And I don't think he wants to talk about it here. We're here to talk about why he's my hero. Well simply because he isn't giving up, when it would have been easier to do so. No he's Moving forward and doing things that most of us wouldn't think twice about doing. He's written a book, about his life. and he's a painter. I know, I already said he's paralyzed. He paint's with his mouth. And he's working on a children's painted book. I would like to tell you more, but Robert has sworn me to secrecy. So when it's done, we'll all get to read it. and marvel at the great paintings he's done for all of us. Robert is my friend, and I'm very proud to have him in my life. he's cool to hangout with and talk to. And one day I hope to meet him in person. Oh ya I forgot something again to say, He lives on the east coast, and I on the west. Facebook and Skype have been able to bridge the great divide, and it's like Robert is right here in my office with me ever now and again. You ask, why I'm telling you this? Why not? Here are a few picks of Robert that I like, I hope you do to. And I hope you find his life as much a blessing as I do.
